Blend of beaches and luxury with culture and adventure in Vietnam andCambodia, this is a perfect combination for a honeymoon. This tour is filled with additional special touches to make your honeymoon a once in a lifetime trip you will never forget.

Day 1: Hanoi You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You might like to take a walk around the streets near your hotel and soak up the atmosphere of Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Sapa Begin your Story of Hanoi with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. Here, you will hear about the man who led Vietnam’s campaign for independence from French colonial rule. Next, visit the imperial citadel, the apex of regional political power for more than a millennium where research and excavation is still underway. After lunch head to the Temple of Literature which was built as an homage to the Chinese scholar, Confucius. See the iconic Long Bien Bridge, constructed across Red River between 1899 and 1902 when Vietnam was still ruled by the French, it is now jammed with whizzing motorbikes and an occasional passenger train chugging into nearby Long Bien Station.

Then take a 30-minute cyclo tour through Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter, a place where you can buy everything from noodles to light fixtures! The quarter’s 36 street are named for the products that were once sold from their shops and today, vendors on Tin and Bamboo Streets still sell the same wares. After exploring the old quarter’s shady alleyways, sip a strong Vietnamese coffee in a café overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. This evening board an overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai and the gateway to Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – The Story of Sapa
Arrive at Lao Cai station early in the morning and transfer to Sapa, a small mountain town surrounded by rice paddies. Depending on your fitness level, chose from a gentle walk or one of our more challenging hikes to explore the lush valleys and mountains that surround the town. With an expert local guide, you can navigate small paths through verdant, terraced fields of rice and corn, passing farmers and their water buffalo sloughing the land as they have for centuries. The ethnic-minority groups still maintain their traditions and way of life, including their own language and intricately embroidered, colourful clothing. In the evening, stay overnight at hotel in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Hanoi
Start your morning with a hike to a beautiful waterfall before continuing on to a picturesque Red Dao village. Red Dao women wear giant red scarves around their heads, and their clothing is embellished with colourful red embroidery and coins. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Sapa before returning to Lao Cai to board the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong BayArrive back in Hanoi as the sun comes up, just in time to catch a glimpse of the famous morning flower market. A day room will be available, so you can shower and freshen up before breakfast. At around 8 am start your journey to Halong Bay, arriving around midday to board a traditional junk for an overnight cruise. After lunch, explore some of the huge limestone caves dotted around the bay and visit a floating fishing village. Then the captain will find a secluded spot where you can swim, soak up the sun on the top deck, or try your hand at kayaking. In the evening enjoy a seafood feast for dinner.

Southeast asia

by piggbride06

My fiance and i are planning our honeymoon for thus summer. WE've decided to go to Southeast Asia for two, maybe 3 weeks this summer. I've been looking around at different websites for packages but I was hoping I could get some advice on this forum on how to make sure I get what I want without getting completely ripped off. We're pretty adventurous, but not terribly seasoned travellers. Since it is our honeymoon, we're looking for a reasonable level of comfort (nothing fancy). But I prefer to go out and see things than laying around on a beach, and am particularly interested in eco-friendly tours
